Ahh! I’m loving the feeling in the air since the New Moon in Gemini we just had. I’m noticing how the relationships we have with archetypes deepen over time – and that new experiences I’ve had with Gemininians or pieces of myth I’ve picked up about this sign have newly prepared me this year to luxuriate into this moment. I’ve enjoyed a mood shift toward the fun kind of busy-ness – the Gemini gift of being curious and interested and feeling stimulated. I hope you are experiencing fun conversations and charming adventures.
This week actually has the potential to be very dreamy – for those of us on the northern hemisphere it’s springtime turning into summer, and for all of us on Earth the Sun will square Neptune, which is like the light of day being diffracted through a disco ball or a quartz crystal. The above photo was taken yesterday on the New Moon (photo by Oliva Lee) with a crystal over the camera lens. I could feel the Sun-Neptune while we were shooting and I loved it.
And with this diffracted light there are so many perspectives! Remember that our words and thoughts are portals. Information prepares us to perceive reality in certain ways. Have you ever made a more skillful choice because of some advice you heard or read? Yet also, have you ever been tormented by an imaginary fear? Ideas vary WIDELY in the effect they will inspire in us.This week we may want to tune extra attention to how we can utilize language to enhance our reality. What magic would speaking kindly to ourselves do? What alleviation of fear and anxiety could we experience if we ran mantras and positive affirmations instead of worst-case-scenario stories?

Pathways will open up for us as we are honest with ourselves about what we are feeling. If something is coming up and nagging at you and you keep brushing it aside (“not now”), this would be a smart time to check in with it. Feelings that come as an “interruption” might actually hold breakthroughs that unlock obstacles along the path.

Venus will stay in Gemini until July 3, 2019. During this time, here are some themes to consider:
Engaging others’ minds and being a lively conversationalist will be a prevalent love language.
We may feel more inclined and receptive toward novelty and desire lots of stimulation.
We may feel challenged or thwarted if we are attached to knowing where things are going. Gemini works its magic because it is constantly adaptable to shift and change, not because it is narrowly focused on one particular destination. Not all flirting leads somewhere, even though it can spark our fantasies of what could be. Relating with Venus in Gemini can come down to the present moment – there are too many variables in the future – and those moving pieces that would determine the future are in the now!

Sun in 18 Gemini square Neptune in 18 Pisces: 12:33 PM PDT
Confusion about identity is in the air. This can take form in a variety of ways, but here are some examples: finding out new information about oneself or others that changes our concept of who we/they are, feeling a marked dissonance between how we regard ourselves versus how others perceive us, projecting a fantasy identity of ourselves into the world, and seeing what we would like to see in others. The general point is: the image of self is not clear.
These moments of identity confusion, however disorienting, do allow us to soften our rigid perceptions and attachments, which in time will give way to a deeper self-concept. The confusion even reveals the nature that identity is itself, not a fixed monolithic object but something that is constantly imagined and created.
We may benefit from receiving reflections from others at this time – we might also be surprised to continually receive certain types of reflections that starkly contrast how we feel about ourselves.
There is also ample room to imagine who we are into being – to incorporate visualization and dreaming into our self-actualization.

Sun in 19 Gemini opposite Jupiter in 19 Sagittarius: 8:27 AM PDT
There is an age-old debate (yes, I’d go ahead and say!) about whether naming, labeling, or classifying things detracts from their essence or our experience of them. But are all labels made equal? Some names, some ways of identifying phenomenon, act like iron walls. But other names, other words, become portals which invite us into an enriched union with that which is being named.
Take note of the “stories” you are interacting with – you know, the way that you think and speak about reality. Are you building walls or portals?
