Ellen, Obama & The Saturn in Sagg Work

A few significant transits for Ellen while she had Obama on her show. Moments like this are history for the collective and the individual. Pluto in Capricorn in the backdrop & we are in a time of great cultural change.

While major public figures in positions of political power must keep some necessary balance or poise (if they are too radical, these kinds of jobs aren’t really for them); when they move with collective change they are agents of evolution. Obama said in his interview with Ellen that government policy follows “attitude shifts” in the populace and this demonstrates his understanding of this principle. We have other politicians who are more concerned with upholding the status quo and avoiding change (and even so, they are working for a constituency that desires that kind of thing.) That’s the dance. While Ellen is not a politician, she is placed to be affecting public opinion which is then you could say, a political act.

Themes around what is natural for people, including sexuality or like Lady Gaga’s Born This Way Foundation which advocates emotional honesty. Public figures with Saturn in Sagittarius are advocating for what is natural and true for people to be accepted into consensus culture (Saturn), things that are currently still judged or sources of adversity according to existing social standards.
Uranus is transiting right over her Moon in Aries in the 4th house – Obama tells Ellen that “As much as we’ve done with laws and ending Don’t Ask Don’t Tell, et cetera, changing hearts and minds, I don’t think anyone has been more influential than you on that. You’re just really likable … you being willing to claim who you were suddenly empowers other people.” (Obama is a Leo – and the whole point of Leo if we were to sum it up is to shine. Plus Uranus is about liberation, and for Ellen it is activating liberation around identity. A high expression of Uranus/Aquarius is to be so free that it empowers others to be free, also. Ellen is an Aquarius Sun, too.)
