The Sun enters Virgo this week and soon after we have a Full Moon in Pisces – where the Sun and Moon are both forming harmonious aspects to the current Saturn-Uranus trine. When it comes to Saturn, there is a principle that reality is formed by patterns that crystallize over time. If we want to alter reality, we can imagine and condition new patterns and align with supportive structures. Harmony between dreamy Pisces and the earth signs lends opportunities to do this: to be visionaries, imagining and manifesting improved realities.
May we also become lucid about our old patterns that have outlived their original purpose and gain insight on how to recycle them.

Here’s our week:

Sun enters Virgo: 9:08 PM PDT
Virgo Season begins! The Sun enter Virgo straight into a beautiful grand earth trine with Saturn in Capricorn and Uranus in Taurus. As the Sun moves through Virgo it will also aspect Jupiter in Scorpio, Neptune in Pisces, and Pluto in Capricorn. These are all considered harmonious aspects except the Sun’s opposition to Neptune in Pisces, which is considered a “hard” (versus “soft”) aspect. Here are some things to note during the Sun in Virgo’s passage:
-
We may be bringing life, energy, and generosity to the areas of life related to process and craft. Virgo relates to fine-detail work and precision, lending thoughtfulness to the Virgo archetype – to attend to details is often to be considerate; whether that is of our own health, our Feng Shui, or the acts of service that we share with others.
-
Virgoan acts are always on a spectrum that relate to magic itself – you know what I’m talking about if you have entered a room that’s been freshly cleaned and saged, or felt a shift in your reality because of care taken to clean and build and altar space.
-
Something that is overwhelming about the Virgo archetype is that the work is never finished – a room gets messy again, our hygiene routines do not create permanent results but are acts that we maintain, organization is a constant accounting for new influx of energy, etc. Virgo also has a psychology of perfectionism, which then becomes an impossible ideal. In many ways we need to become disillusioned of our ideals of perfection which are actually impossible ideals, and become grittier and more forgiving of what process actually looks like.
-
While the Sun is in Virgo we may discover more creative ways of attending to the details of life. Additionally as this ingress is marked by a grand earth trine between the Sun, Saturn and Taurus, we may be looking for/encountering more intelligent ways to do the work that we are here to do.

Sun in 2 Virgo trine Uranus in 2 Taurus: 9:37 AM PDT and Sun in 2 Virgo trine Saturn in 2 Capricorn: 3:07 PM PDT
This beautiful alignment sets the stage for the following day’s Full Moon in Pisces where the Moon will also sextile Uranus and Saturn.
-
This can be.a great time to glean important insights from our sensitivity. At this time, our sensitivity (to what is off, out of alignment, etc.) is working harmoniously with inventive Uranus and disciplined, reality-constructing Saturn. More effortlessly than usual we may discover useful changes that we can make to bring greater harmony to our body-mind-spirit and the various systems and networks we are a part of.
-
Our work and the acts of service we provide are connected to codes of thought – ethos, morality, conditioning, etc. For what do we labor and craft? Or what values bring us in touch with the inspiration to be in service? This grand trine can be an invitation to connect to the work you have such esteem in that you actually feel pride and deep satisfaction while you are on the path of it. It might relate to our careers or our work in a more spiritual/soulful sense, or both and how they intersect.
-
The possibility arises for helpful discernment in determining how we want to be radical and stand apart, versus how those radical ideas and practices can be normalized and maintained through more Saturnian means. Freedom and conformity are not antithetical. The question is, in what ways is conforming conducive to life purpose and a necessary form of grounding and being socially relatable/credible enough to do the thing you’re doing? Radicals tend to pursue this question in the choice of whether or not they want to work outside of a system and be a voice on the fringe, or whether they want to work within the system and bring change from the inside. There is no maxim that works for everyone. The range of how much we conform and how radical we are is an act of personal discernment.

Full Moon in 3 Pisces: 4:56 AM PDT
-
We experiences harvests of grace, magic, divine connectivity… etc! when we attune our consciousness to greater mysteries and honor our longing. Visualizing, praying, and asking guides for assistance are forms of opening up this channel.
-
When opening to greater divine connectivity, and spiritual insight and lucidity, part of the process involves becoming receptive. Consider the radical magic of Uranus in Taurus – making space internally and with patience to feel and get to know what is beyond our known reality. Acts of attunement may take time, but this is where we are so ready for breakthrough.
-
Visualization (and feeling your dreams as though they have already come true) is a great act of attunement because it allows consciousness to leave reality as it presently exists and access another possible reality stream. If we indulge in the fantasy enough to feel it as reality, we can access insights and actionable steps to bring that fantasy into reality. Likewise, approaching a given situation just from the ground and what is happening now can be pragmatic on some level, but lacking in imagination of greater possibility. To unify both fronts: to dream and to implement those dreams in practical, on-the-ground ways is the magic of harmonizing Pisces with the earth signs.

The Moon in Pisces can also bring people in touch with suffering, and the Piscean compassion for suffering, the desire to alleviate suffering, and the potential despair and disillusionment when grappling with deeper questions about suffering and feelings of futility in the face of it. This can often relate to being caught in a wave of collective feelings or emotional-vibratory stations and mistaking it “as your own”. One of the greatest pains that comes with Pisces is the innocent heart’s shock that life can be brutal.
-
An act of courage then, within the Piscean dimension, is to still feel love for existence unconditionally, and from the higher-speed vibrational spaces of love and gratitude create the most uplifting, inspiring, and compassionate ripples possible into this shared reality of ours…. just by being love.
-
Give yourself the space to have visions and dreams as they can influence reality and be a lush source of spiritual guidance. It is always a balance with discernment, when it comes to the realm of dream (lucid or ‘just’ fantasy?), but as our alignment increases, our ability to trust our intuition and spiritual insights also increases.
Venus in 19 Libra square Pluto in 19 Capricorn: 12:20 PM PDT
-
While Venus square Saturn in Capricorn may have introduced us to become more aware of our expectations in relationship and how we want to address that…. this Venus square to Pluto heralds a transformation in relationship and/or a transformation of expectations.
-
Venus-Pluto transits in general can speak to the deepening of relationships and also depth-work that comes up in relationships, some of which may be things we encounter and converse about lucidly, and other times things that simmer within us and mark an internal change – like when we have been touched by intimacy in such a way that we are now different, impacted.

Mars in 28 Capricorn stations direct: 7:05 AM PDT
Mars is now direct, and will leave retrograde shadow on October 8, 2018 (at 9 degrees Aquarius where it originally stationed retrograde). Mars has been retrograde since June 26, 2018.
-
Mars retrogrades can bring up a lot of frustration, irritation and impatience for people. The work in Mars retrograde lies in stepping back from normal forms of pursuit and conquest – but not given the normal open road toward those things we usually feel we have access to, the pressures of Mars become internalized and inwardly focused. Think about the gifts in consciousness that you gained. Did you hold off on action in a way that served your spiritual and personal development? Did your actions that you did take reflect enhanced intelligence or skillful restraint and timing? It’s Mars, so mark those victories, too.
Mercury in 16 Leo square Jupiter in 16 Scorpio: 10:31 PM PDT
This is the third and last pass of this square due to Mercury’s retrogradation, though Mercury has remained in orb of squaring Jupiter throughout this cycle. As I noted with Mars retrograde, this transit between Mercury and Jupiter was also challenging, but we have probably gained something from the tension! Jupiter trines Neptune in Pisces, while Mercury forms an inconjunct to Neptune.
-
Mercury in Leo offers us levity and humor to stop whirlpooling into negative thought patterns, which can become so easy in the Jupiter-Neptune trine (though as easy as spiraling upward into bliss/ecstatic states too, if that’s where consciousness focuses…).
-
On the other hand, a more dramatic awareness of our interior landscape has been able to catalyze transformation, especially if we’ve been reflective about it.
-
Jupiter in Scorpio is a longer-lasting transit than Mercury in Leo, so it is more like Mercury in Leo is working on us to have a different experience with Jupiter in Scorpio temporarily. We stew in Scorpio and fixate and obsess. Leo’s M.O. is to play, to beam one’s light and radiance, and to respond to life from the heart.
-
However, when Leo and Scorpio interact, it has an energy of shining light into the shadows which tends to be dramatic! And obviously transformative. Keep with your inner work as this alchemy unfolds.
